Sometimes you need a proper bed for a few weeks or a few months, not forever. After surgery, during recovery, for respite, or while a loved one is cared for at home, hiring an electric home care bed is often the sensible and affordable choice.
We hire out the same quality home care and hospital style beds we sell, delivered and set up in the home across Melbourne, so the room is ready before the person comes home.
When hiring a bed makes more sense than buying
Hiring suits any situation where the need is temporary or uncertain:
Palliative and end of life care at home, where comfort and dignity matter most and buying is not the priority.
Respite, so a family carer can rest knowing the bed is safe and adjustable.
Trying a home care bed in real life before you commit to buying one.
What you can hire
Our hire beds are electric and adjustable, so the head, the knees and often the whole bed height change at the touch of a button. That makes sleeping, sitting up and getting in and out far easier, and it protects the back of anyone helping.
Electric home care bed
An adjustable bed that raises the head and legs and lifts to a safe working height, in a timber finish that suits a bedroom rather than a ward. The everyday choice for recovery and care at home.

Hi lo home care bed
Lowers close to the floor to reduce the risk and the impact of a fall, and raises high so a carer can work without stooping. A good fit where falls or transfers are the main concern.

Rails, mattresses and accessories
Add assist rails, a pressure care mattress or a bed stick to any hire bed, so the setup matches the person, not just the room.

How our bed hire works
Hiring is simple. Tell us the situation and roughly how long you need the bed, and we will recommend the right one, arrange delivery and set it up in the room. Hire is from $100 a week for the bed, plus the mattress, delivery and collection, with a four week minimum. You keep the bed as long as you need and we collect it when you are done. Because weekly hire adds up, if you are likely to need the bed for the long term we will show you how buying compares, since that often works out better value.
Funding: NDIS and Support at Home
Short term equipment hire can often be covered under a plan. We work with NDIS and Support at Home, prepare compliant quotes quickly, and are used to working alongside occupational therapists and coordinators. Tell us your funding and we will guide you through it.

Excellent, highly skillful team who understand the specific needs of the disabled and elderly. The furniture is very well engineered and the team is able to explain how to use their chairs and beds in a way which supports the huge varieties in people's individual needs and body shapes. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

My grandpa recently bought an electric mobility scooter from Mobility Co in Cheltenham, and he couldn't be happier. He said the team was incredibly patient, friendly, and took the time to help him find the right mobility scooter for his needs and height. They answered all of his questions and explained the different options and what to look for and never made him feel rushed or pressured. Seeing the range of scooter options in the showroom made it easy for him and mum to find the right scooter. If you're looking for a mobility scooter in Melbourne, I'd definitely recommend visiting Mobility Co. The service was genuine, professional, and made the whole process easy for both my grandpa and our family.

Our family bought an adjustable bed and mobility scooter for my grandpa from Mobility Co and the whole experience was fantastic. Great showroom in Cheltenham, genuine advice with no pressure, and delivery and set up were sorted within days. Grandpa loves both, he's more comfortable at night and getting out and about again. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

We had an excellent experience with Mobility Co. Daylan was fantastic in helping my parents choose a mobility scooter, an adjustable bed, and a recliner. Nothing was too much trouble, and he truly went above and beyond to make the process easy for us. He even offered to bring equipment to us if getting to the showroom was difficult. When we visited the showroom, we were given plenty of time to try everything without feeling rushed, and the team made us feel very welcome by offering refreshments. The service didn't stop after the purchase. Daylan personally visited before delivery to check there were no access issues, and then came back afterwards to make sure everything was set up properly and to explain how to use the equipment again. The customer service was outstanding from start to finish. Daylan's kindness, patience, and genuine care made all the difference. We highly recommend Mobility Co to anyone looking for quality mobility equipment and exceptional service.

Had an extremely nice experience today at Mobility Co. Took my 92yo friend to test ride-on scooters. The staff couldn't have been more attentive. Never rushed, which is very important to an older person. My friend and I would highly recommend this company.
